Open
Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, closed Saturday and Sunday. Admission is
free.
The centre is opposite Wigan & Leigh College . There is a small car park
behind the centre next to the playing fields. Approximately 5 minutes walk from
the bus station and The Galleries shopping centre which provides
ample parking.
The centre is funded by Wigan Metropolitan Borough Education Department and
provides an arts resource to schools in the borough and beyond. Work by one of
the three artists in residence is usually on display
as well as by other established artists, often with local roots or connections.
Exhibitions tend to favour sculpture and textile work.
The artists in residence are very happy for you to look around their studios and
to talk to them or watch them work. A very friendly atmosphere.
Call the office number to join the mailing list.
