The gallery is on Market Square about 10 minutes walk from the Railway Station and close to the bus station car park.

A very substantial collection in a very impressive building. The collection includes works by Arthur Devis, Samuel Palmer, Holman Hunt, Landseer, Sickert, Munnings, Lowry and Stanley Spenser. Contemporary work includes paintings by Bridget Riley and Bruce McLean. Also on display are a group of Victorian bronzes. Definitely worth a visit.

Membership of the Friends of the Harris receive regular information and can participate in special events. Membership costs £5 annually.

There is a museum shop and cafe.

Call the Education Officer for details about school trips. Childrens events take place regularly.

Orange badge parking by main entrance in Jackson St. A lift is available to the 1st and 2nd floors. Access for wheelchair users to all main areas. Loan wheelchair available. Visitors with guide or assistance dogs
admitted.

On the second floor is an information point with detailed information about future exhibitions - an excellent idea which should be taken up by other aspiring galleries.
